Message I don't see how you could not have seen this. You don't just buy the gears, sprinkle fairy dust on them, and they're in. That would nice though :) You need other parts and additional labor as well.

Cost breakdown for me...

$670 for gears..price I got them for
$200 for install
$350 for OEM parts

Total = $1220

Not bad considering I have a fully rebuilt diff now with 4.10s in it. Also, since you don't want to spend money it seems, for what it's worth, the guy that installed mine said that everything was in such great shape when my differential was taken apart that the new parts would not have even been necessary. Ofcourse it isn't bad to get new ones, so I did, since I already had them anyways, but they were not necessary.

In that case I would have just needed $25 to buy the crush collar, reducing my total price to $895 instead of $1220....not bad at all.
